Fabulous Friday Finds: And a Pinterest Rabbit Trail

While perusing Pinterest (which seems to be all I do lately), I came across this beautiful picture of some super cute DIY felt bows.

I was intrigued, so I started looking through this beautiful blog. I was sad to see that the writer was forced to take some time away from her blog, but that didn't stop me from clicking that little "older entries" button at the bottom of the page a whole bunch of times.

And that brought me to this picture of a gorgeous office space with a super cool screensaver on the computer.

And THAT brings me to this Fabulous Friday Find...a Friday Freebie! (yay alliteration!)

Fabulous Friday Finds

I am dedicating this Friday post to the most fabulous of finds in a LONG time. And I must thank my lovely friend Sherry from Oh So Lovely for introducing me to the most addicting website to come along in awhile. I know I'm behind the times in discovering this, and actually, I had heard of it awhile back but never checked it out.

Welcome to my Pinterest page! Let me just say, I'm on this site every day. Way more than I should be. It's that wonderful and addicting.

The basic idea is that you create pin boards in whatever category you want. Everyone's pin boards are different. One could be dedicated to recipes you like, or crafts you want to try, or home decorating inspiration you've found.

My pin boards are in the following categories:

-Food Inspiration

-Art & Typography

-Organization

-Around The House

-Wedding Inspiration

-Photography

-Party Ideas

-Fashion

-Scrapbooking

-Random Stuff

My Art & Typography board is one of my favorites. If I'm window shopping on Etsy and find an art print I think is delightful, I simply click a button and it's added to my pin board!

Once you sign up for Pinterest, it walks you through the process of adding your "Pin It" button to your bookmarks toolbar, or bookmarks list in your web browser. After that, you simply find lovely photos on the web, and click "Pin It" and a pop up will allow you to specify which board you would like to pin that picture too.

It's an OCD person's paradise!! =) I've always kept files on my computer of pictures I've found. Wedding dresses I love and want to save for "someday," pictures of beautiful houses for inspiration when I have my own house, photographs that I would like to emulate, etc.

Now, there's a central location where I can keep all of those files stored easily, FREE, and in an organized way. It's wonderful!!

Just like with any other social networking site, you can follow people you know, or people whose inspirations inspire you, and see what they are pinning. If you like something they've pinned, you can re-pin it to your own board.

Fabulous Friday Finds

I'm an avid internet peruser, so I come across tons of fabulous finds all the time. And what good would they be if I just kept them all to myself?

So here we have Fabulous Friday Finds! I'll be sharing a few of the things I've found, and hopefully you'll love them as much as I do!

Let me just a say, I love Kevin {&} Amanda. She is a wonderful blogger, and I'm a faithful follower of hers. She's always got awesome recipes (um, hello brownies!) and photography tips, and wonderful things to share.

So besides all that, how absolutely AMAZING and FABULOUS do these brownies look? *drool* *swoon*

She mixed chocolate chip cookie dough with brownies and oreos. And ice cream. And hot fudge sauce. I can just feel my body going into diabetic shock from just looking at the picture! I must make these...soon!

I'm really not even sure how I came across The Frugal Girls, but their site is delightful. If you enjoy saving money, this is the place to visit! I am a fan of their page on Facebook, and they post coupons all day long. Of course, there will be some that you just simply can't use, but they post so often that you are bound to find something you like!

Let's level here girls...if there's one thing that's beyond fabulous, it's these red pumps. When I found them I almost died. Then I came too and almost died again. Just kidding. :) But really, they're just fabulous. No other words! And they have them in my size! *score*

So I'm not sure how this made it on to my fabulous list, but I must say, I love it. I'm a bit of a nerd/geek, so when I found Think Geek I was in heaven. It's the coolest shop with the geekiest, nerdiest items you will ever find. But they're all just fabulous.

This scratch & scroll mousepad is just ridiculously fun and functional. Did you ever have a magic slate as a kid? I know I did! And this is exactly what this is! It comes with a stylus so you can doodle and draw notes on your mousepad, and when you want to have a clean slate, just lift up the semi-transparent sheet and voila! it's clean. Oh and did I mention it's under $20? Yes, please!
