Hello Autumn!

Today, because it's Friday, and because this absolutely gorgeous Oklahoma weather has me in an Autumn mood, I'm giving away some Fall inspired desktop wallpapers!

Autumn is one of my most favorite times of the year. Here in Oklahoma, our weather can be rather unpredictable, but this year we've had an early reprieve from our scorching hot summer. The temperature has been a cool 65 in the mornings, and only as high as 75-80 in the afternoons. For us, that's beautiful, cool weather!

I love decorating my computer desktop. I change mine frequently, and I'm always on the lookout for new backgrounds. Since it's almost October (can you believe it?!) I thought I would make my own simple, vector backgrounds to celebrate the changing of the seasons.

Just click on the size that coincides with your screen's display resolution and save the picture. It's all yours!

I hope you enjoy these! I might have to switch mine after a few weeks so I can use them all. Happy Friday everyone!

Free Friday Printable + An Announcement

One of my favorite things to do is create. In my life, that can take on lots of forms. I enjoy scrapbooking, paper crafting, cross stitch, and I've even tried embroidery and hand stitching. I also love graphic design. It is my career, and I am so thrilled to be in a new place where I am creating things I love and being able to use my skills.

I've thought for a long time about opening an Etsy shop to feature my design work. There are plenty of designers on Etsy, but that's the fun thing about design. Each person has a different take on things, and there are no two designs exactly alike.

I'm excited to announce that a few weeks ago I took the plunge! Check out Jenn & Tonic on Etsy for art prints, announcements, invitations, stationary and lots of other goodies! I will gradually be adding things as I get them created.

I'm so excited about this venture! To celebrate, I'm featuring a simple print that hangs in my room. It reminds me every day to take advantage of the time I have. Make every day an adventure and cherish every moment!

Just click and save for a high-resolution, 8x10 image. Feel free to print it out for yourself and hang somewhere, to remind yourself to live in the moment!

Visit the shop and let me know what you think! If you'd like to see something specific, don't hesitate to message me. I'd love to create something special for you!

Free Friday Printable

Wow. This week totally got away from me!!

I haven't just been swamped, but something has been going on every single day, and I can't even remember logging into Blogger. Which is a tragedy because I've missed seeing my feed of wonderful blogs to read!

So, to make it up to you, I have another round of Free Friday Printables!

I usually don't get much into the whole Valentine's thing...mostly because I've never had a Valentine and I like to be smart aleck about the entire holiday. ;-) BUT, I've been seeing some adorable Valentine cards, and wanted to share some I had made. I think they're pretty stinking cute.

All you have to do is click on them and save, and they're yours! They are created as 4x6 prints, so you can use them for your kids, or print them out to put up in a classroom or in your house!

I hope you like them as much as I do.

Happy Friday all!

Free 2012 Printable Calendar

Yes, it is technically the 12th day of the new year. But, who's counting, right?

A few years ago I made myself a yearly calendar to go on my bulletin board at work. I work in the newspaper business, so it's handy for us to have future dates right at our finger tips. A buddy of mine in the office found my calendar, so he asked me to make him one. Now, it's a thing every year. I'm the calendar making queen. ;-)

Mine for this year is all about color. I found an awesome 2012 graphic, tweaked it to my liking, and voila...a beautiful 2012 calendar!

I love all things bright and colorful, and this fits perfectly on my bulletin board. Makes me happy just looking at it!

If you'd like to add this to your office decor, just click on the photo, and save.

Happy 2012!

Holiday Baking

Today I'm going to show you a fun web site I discovered. Around the holidays people are always swapping recipes, and Skip To My Lou's recipe card maker makes it super easy and fun!

You start by deciding what size you would like your card to be, and choosing whether you have more than one recipe.

Next you pick out which design you want. Granted, they only have 3 to pick from, but I would imagine they change with the seasons. And come on...they are all adorable.

And then you just fill in the ingredients and instructions. Easy as pie! Or...snickerdoodle cookies. ;-)

I created these from a friend's famous recipe (from his delicious bakery) to give to a special someone for Christmas. They have been dying to have his recipe, and he finally decided to be nice and share. :)

And because I love ya, here's the handy printable by itself so you, too can make some delicious snickerdoodles!

Merry Christmas!

Free Friday Printable!

As big a part of my life as it is, I'm ashamed to say I haven't ever featured designing on my blog. I do it every day. It's my job. But I never really talk about it on here. So, today we're changing that!

A co-worker of mine was putting together a smores basket for a friend who was going on a camping trip, and asked me to make a special tag to go with the gift. She found the idea on Pinterest, so I just created my own card!

I was pleased with how it turned out, and my co-worker loved it.

Here's her final product:

I'm sure her friend was delighted to get such a yummy package. I know I would love it. =)

To use this card for yourself, just click on the image above and save. It's all yours!

Happy Friday!

Fabulous Friday Finds: And a Pinterest Rabbit Trail

While perusing Pinterest (which seems to be all I do lately), I came across this beautiful picture of some super cute DIY felt bows.

I was intrigued, so I started looking through this beautiful blog. I was sad to see that the writer was forced to take some time away from her blog, but that didn't stop me from clicking that little "older entries" button at the bottom of the page a whole bunch of times.

And that brought me to this picture of a gorgeous office space with a super cool screensaver on the computer.

And THAT brings me to this Fabulous Friday Find...a Friday Freebie! (yay alliteration!)

Click here to get this super cool flip-clock style screensaver. It's both functional, hip and retro all at the same time. Can't beat that!

Hope you enjoy as much as I am.

Happy Friday bloggers!
